Cubanada

Recipe
50ml Havana 7yr old
22ml lime juice
10ml simple syrup
15ml Maple syrup
2 dash Angostura

Method
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a large orange twist

Created in 2001 for an international drinks comp, which it won, this is a simple contraction of Cuba and Canada, referencing the two vital ingredients. If you can find Grade 1 maple syrup you can use a full measure. Most available syrups need to be cut with simple syrup to not overpower the other ingredients
